Traveler’s advice: always buy prepaid phone cards!

July 24, 2009 Posted by admin

Ah… with full-on summer time hitting hard, this is definitely my favorite time of the year! With the warm breeze rolling in, I always feel like going around and traveling around states, sometimes even countries. Well, fortunately though I’m no kind of outcast, so calling home and getting word to the loved ones is always a priority. The problem is that sometimes going a long way from home means getting trapped in high-cost phone rates; well, this is why I’ve learned to take advantage of phone cards to get the most talk for the least cash.

Before I got used to purchasing Calling Cards, I used to spend loads of money on cell phone charges – in fact I used to pay several times more cash than it would be called for. Now, the good thing about getting a Prepaid Phone Card is that, besides making it easier to keep track of the money you’re spending, most call rates are generally drastically lower. If you don’t suppose it really makes a difference, just give it a try next time you’re out of town… I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Interior design 101 for absolute clueless buckos!

July 14, 2009 Posted by admin

If you’re a bit like me, than you’re probably clueless about hipster terms such as window swags… right? Well, if I were to be honest I’d hate to put it straightforward: I hate doing home decoration. I hate shopping for trinkets. I hate going around dealing with interior design technicalities. I pretty much think that’s girl’s stuff. But regardless, I also dislike when my house looks as though it’s maintained by a complete dork who can’t handle a household by himself. So every once in a while, I force myself to take some time and look around my house for stuff that could be improved.

Lately I’ve been thinking I could really use a new set of drapes, and with that in mind I’m checking out these windows swags. Now, the only trouble is that I really can’t make up my mind as to which drapes would compliment my living room Fortunately though, I can rely on the support of female advice from a few of my close friends. Let’s just face it, picking curtains is not something that a normal guy is usually proficient at, right? I mean, I can disassemble a latptop computer in just a few minutes, but when it comes to figuring out the right color to make a room seem livelier… well, I’m clueless. So if you’re facing similar problems in making your house look just right, just follow my advice: get a lady friend to help you and save yourself from a bunch of trouble!

Inexpensive Eyeglasses and the value of a good advice!

July 7, 2009 Posted by admin

Old timers frequently dispense good advice, which young people often dismiss as irrelevant – until they grow older and learn on their own. Of course, usually by then it’s too late to actually use those advices. Case in point: when I was younger my granma always told me “boy, you’re always standing so close to the TV, you’ll need eyeglasses when you grow older”. Of course I didn’t listen; same as I ignored my mother as a teenager when she kept warning me “son, you really should keep from playing videogames for so many hours on a row, that will ruin your eyes”. Well, now I’m older and my vision isn’t what it used to be, but at least I’ve learned the value of following sound advices.

So when my aunt told me the other day she’d heard about this company selling eyeglasses online for as low as $15… well, let’s just say I can really use some of those right now, so I went ahead to try it out. And I must say, I’m very much impressed with their website! Not only do they sell a huge variety of prescription eyeglasses (pretty much everything you can find in a traditional optometrist, only at a fraction of the price), but they offer free worldwide shipping in orders of more than 1 pair, and delivery speed seems quite fast from what I’ve read (people seem to get their eyeglasses in a week). It’s just like that… I may have ruined my eyesight from ignoring good advice when I was younger, but at least now I can appreciate the value of a good advice!

There’s nothing like a summer evening barbecue!

July 4, 2009 Posted by admin

Today I invited a few of my friends over for a barbecue, and it was a pretty neat experience. HOWEVER, being the proper geek that I am, I’m already thinking how I can make it better the next time around. You see, I’m taking advantage of a little backdoor patio in my new house to bring out the best in the summer. And late evening outdoor dinner parties are one of my favorite things to do in the summer! There’s something really nice about eating outdoors in the cool, cool summer breeze after a long, hot day.

Well, that’s exactly one of the problems I’m dealing with to make sure the next barbecue is even better. The heat. Rather, the absence of a cool summer breeze. It was just too hot tonight, I was sweating bullets all through the evening… and the fact that I was in charge of handling the grill certainly didn’t help. So, first in my to-do list involves getting some Outdoor Fans (such as the amazing minka aire )to make sure there’s always a breeze when needed be. Now, second on my list comes a proper Kichler Landscape Lighting; simply because spotlight lamps (such as the one I’m using right now) totally wreck havoc with the whole summer evening lounging mood. Hm… getting all these items are gonna set me back a good chunk of cash, but I think it’ll be worth it! There’s nothing like a good summer evening barbecue I tell you!

Tummy tuck works great with healthy diet + exercise!

July 4, 2009 Posted by admin

Sure: we all appreciate, and believe in technology – otherwise we wouldn’t be here. However, sometimes technology seems to go out of its way to tamper with the human body, and that’s when controversy usually arises. So, what’s your opinion on this matter? Do you think it’s alrigth for us to use technological developments to fine-tune our body… even when it involves a little cheating? For example, we all know the natural way to lose weight involves exercise and a healthy diet. However, it’s possible to further enhance the benefits of such a diet by doing a little tummy tuck UK, or something in that style. So what do you think of that? Is it alright to use modern technologies to get the results you’re looking for much quicker?

Well, personally I think that yes it can definitely be alright — provided you choose a reputable professional to make your surgery, and provided you’re aware of what you’re doing. With aware I mean that you shouldn’t expect that doing a little tummy tuck will solve your problem for good, and keep you from having to get more exercise or lead a healthy diet. That kind of reasoning is half-step towards failure. Like I said before, these surgeries should be regarded as a complement to your diet, not as a substitute. Granted, a little tummy tuck will help you get where you’d like to be sooner, but just as long as you don’t go sit on the couch eating french potatoes and deep-fried oreos soon after you get out from surgery!

Don’t just learn to read the signs: MAKE your signs!

July 1, 2009 Posted by admin

Oh, yes siree! For Some people, they’re just signs, but for other people they’re a chance to unleash their creativeness and make other people laugh. When you think about it, a sign is something that really stands there and draws people attention to convey some kind of meaning, right? Well, if you’re clever you’ll easily come up with meanings that will really twist the mind of passer-bys, such as the example displayed up there. Also, there are many other applications for vinyl impressions – it’s just a matter of using your imagination! Of course, you may have the wrong notion that such printings are just too expensive, but it turns out since the advent of the Internet and online printing houses, it’s now possible to order vinyl prints for amazingly reasonable prices.

Well, if you’re up to print out some awesome signs, feel free to check out this page with BuildASign Promo. As you might now, buildASign is one of the least expensive printing houses in business, and using these discounts… well, let’s just say you’ll get a several extra feet of vinyl for pretty much the same price. Now, if anyone out there feels like doing a little brainstorming… maybe you can help me come up with a neat idea for a sign?

People who want to see SEO Results: Raise your hand!

July 1, 2009 Posted by admin

Well, to be honest I’m of mixed feelings on this matter. On one hand I think that yes, Google PageRank is still probably the quintessential-est of the cornerstones in the Google’s method to catalog and prioritize websites across the Internet, and distribute them across Google SERPS (search engine results pages). On the OTHER hand, I cannot help but feeling, based on my readings as well as my own observations – that Google’s algorithm must have grown exquisitely sophisticated over the years, meaning that it’s now harder than ever to come up with simple formulas that allow to effectively promote a website while aiming specific keywords. Whereas no more than one decade ago, things were as straightforward as better pagerank = better placement, the recent developments in the mother of search engines have fashioned the process of search engine optimization into a complex and multi-layered science. That just goes to say… nowadays if you want better SEO Results, it’s really best to rely on someone who does that for a living. Because they’ll probably make a much better job at it than you would, and they’ll pretty much pay for their own work, from the increased business you’ll likely get from increased exposure.

Catch my drift? Sometimes growing up in business is as simple as learning how to improve and expand upon one’s labor network and social sphere of influence. The new media present us with a golden opportunity to pursue such exploits, and even though the Internet gold rush is (fortunately) done and over with, there’s still an immense potential for online entreprenmeurs and online businesses in general to grow. Think about it, and if you’d like to see hard data, just check these graphics I retrieved from the link up there:
