If only video editing was an easy task…

February 10, 2010 Posted by admin

Have you ever tried to produce a video? Man, it’s tough! I had never been much into video editing, but just recently I agreed to help my sister-in-law put together a video using a bunch of tapes she had taped over the years. At first I assumed it would be piece of cake – and I guess maybe it would, if we knew what we were doing, that is! Let me tell you, the (seemingly) simple act of converting the tapes to digital format turned out to be quite an ordeal, and I spent almost 3 afternoons just figuring out how it’s done.

I had to install a DV board in my computer, but eventually I did manage to get the footage in digital format. From there, I assumed it would be a breeze – wrong again. I know there are many people who are talented using Adobe Premiere, but I must admit I’m not one of those people. I must admit, at this point I almost feel like handing the job to a CT video production company, because I just know producing this video won’t be easy! And here I always thought video editing was simple enough… just goes to show that I have many things to learn, still!

I love being alive, but anyway I look at it I just hate my life.

Have you ever felt this way, dear reader? If you’re human like me, then I guess your probably have. Life is a wonderful thing, but living can sometimes get tricky. Especially for people who don’t have money. Now, you may say that money isn’t happiness… but lack of money isn’t even more so. Further, it’s one thing not to have money, and it’s another thing entirely to be soaked in debt. And much to my dismay I must admit that being in debt seems like an inexorable part of my life.

Well… don’t take me wrong, here. I don’t mean to whine. Well at least there are debt consolidation solutions I can rely upon to help me get out from the un-affluent gaping hole I’m so familiar with. But still… it would be nice to get a fresh start. I know it’s stupid wishful thinking and very much unrealistic, but hey… a guy cannot help but dream. Especially when that’s pretty much everything he has left. Well, at least dreaming is still free in this day and age! I could lose everything, but I’d never let go of my ability to dream.

Misadventures on Santa Clarita, water under the bridge.

February 9, 2010 Posted by admin

From all the places on earth one can get in trouble (and trust me, one can get in trouble pretty much in any place in the world), Santa Clarita is probably one of the most fascinating choices. Don’t take me wrong, dear reader: it’s not that I enjoy getting in trouble. It’s just that sometimes trouble seems to follow me anywhere I go. I’m sure you don’t completely believe this reasoning, but if you were one of the best San Fernando and Santa Clarita Criminal Defense Attorneys chances are you’d feel my premise does hold true.

Anyway, I don’t really feel much like detailing the specific kind of trouble I got into while visiting the lovely lands of Santa Clarita – not because I’m overly ashamed of what I did there, but simply because it would be a pity to ruin my fond memories of that lovely city by delving into misunderstandings that are now water under a distant, past bridge. Suffice it to say that I was indeed happy in my time visiting Santa Clarita, and thanks to the good lawyers I met there, I was even happier – all things considered. Ah… to be young and reckless, now those were the days!

All you have to do is input the youtube URL and you’ll get a download link for the mp3. Simple, isn’t it?

A letter of apology and a promise of a reliable website.

Dear readers,

If you’re a regular visitor to this particular corner of cyberspace, you might have noticed some technical issues, as of late. For a couple of weeks, I opted to host this blog from a free hosting account, and fortunately I didn’t take long to realize that was indeed a terrible choice. Being free and all, free hosting is pretty cool – but only as far as free goes. Which goes to say that we always get what we pay for; if you choose a cheap option, we’re prone to getting cheap results.

Anyway, matter of the fact is that I’m quite disgruntled over the poor performance of that free hosting service I was using. The website was taking too long to load, it wasn’t online 99% – not even 90% I would guess. I suppose many of you have indeed beem confronted with a “server is down” error or something of the kind.

Well, I want to apologize for that, and I also want to reassure you that I’m now using some of the best dedicated web hosting services out there on the market, and as such I’m pretty sure operations will run pretty smoothly from now on.

So with that in mind, I hope you feel welcome to this website that’s all about technological adventures on the world wide web!
