Well, to make a long story short… I was just talking with a friend of mine on skype, and we was truly going berserk over how sluggish his computer was, despite of the fact it was only two years old. He was worried he might have to buy a new computer already, but then I just told him that his computer will go back to normal if he reinstalled the operating system, which was merely cluttered up after two years. Needless to day, he had no idea how to do such a thing, and he just kept repeating “my computer is running slow” over and over, like some sort of madman!

I was literally laughing out loud watching this little drama, until I realized how elusive the whole concept of formatting a hard drive might seem to a novice user. Fortunately, another simple answer occurred to me: a registry cleaner! That might just do the trick. So I told him to download the trial version of Registry Easy, and less than half an hour later he was video-calling on Skype. He almost tears in eyes and he just kept saying “thankyou, thankyou… you really saved me from growing a premature ulcer”. Well, what do you know? I feel good about having helped him, so I figured I might as well write this post to inspire people having similar problems. If your computer is running slow, just try this software!

I had to install a DV board in my computer, but eventually I did manage to get the footage in digital format. From there, I assumed it would be a breeze – wrong again. I know there are many people who are talented using Adobe Premiere, but I must admit I’m not one of those people. I must admit, at this point I almost feel like handing the job to a CT video production company, because I just know producing this video won’t be easy! And here I always thought video editing was simple enough… just goes to show that I have many things to learn, still!

I hadn’t used this printer in weeks, maybe months. I somehow assumed it was working just fine – it used to be! So when I get back home and start printing the first few documents, everything runs smoothly until suddenly it gets stuck half-way through printing a page. I tried replacing the cartridge, but it was of no avail. Still dead. So, I’m the proud owner of five brand new ink cartridges, but I don’t have a printer where I can actually use them. I doubt it’ll be worth it trying to repair this old thing, I’ll just try to either sell the ink on ebay or otherwise find a used xerox printer at cheap prices. Oh well, I’m just annoyed because I really wanted to print out those ebooks!

I’m just happy I have a girlfriend with a good sense of humor! I keep breaking her dishes, and she actually finds that amusing! The other day there were only three dishes left in her apartment, and she looked at me with this puzzled face “I could have sworn I had a full set of twenty dishes, when we started dating”, and then just burst with a fit of hysterical laughter. Just my luck, eh? I guess I better don’t push it and just get a couple of full dinnerware sets as backup, since I’m obviously quite the archetypical butter-fingered kind of guy. Oh well, you can’t be good at everything, right? Maybe I’d better just invest in good dishwasher!

So, if case you’re curious about this kind of thing, I’ll sketch a quick rundown: IVA, also known as Individual Voluntary Arrangement, is an agreement between creditors and debtors. This kind of settlement is (obviously) of legal binding, and it’s used when people have no other way of paying off their debts. In other words, it’s the European term for Debt Settlement, and I’m wondering just how similar the processes are. So, maybe one of you international readers would care to shed some light on this issue? I mean, the way things are going these days, you never know when you’ll be forced to flee to Europe, and it’s always nice to have some kind of a backup plan. Right?
